In the last matome okuri message, two people reposted a message from my
boss, Mike Kiley, sent out to the UCI Bookstore's alt.ant ANIME mailing
list. (I work there.) I'm not sure how Hitoshi feels about commercial
messages being posted or reposted to his anime lists, especially when they
contain some matter not related to the subject of the list. I'd appreciate
some clarification. If it's a Good Thing, then I'm glad that people find
those postings useful. If -- and only if -- he invites us, we might
consider making Hitoshi's anime lists direct recipients of the weekly
updates. If it's a Bad Thing -- which I was worried about -- well, that's
why you haven't heard any sneak previews coming from me since I joined the
list (which I love, especially in matome okuri form ^_^). What I *don't*
want is for it to seem as though anyone is being unwillingly subjected to
unwanted commercial information. I spent a very, very sleepless night and
early morning, a couple of weeks ago, putting out a very nasty loop on the
UCI ANIME mailing list; as such, I understand how people feel when things
come unwanted. 

In any case, the first thing I am going to do when the life-size Belldandy
poster arrives in March is to find some way of scanning it.  (I may have
to use a Crosfield drum scanner to get the whole thing in. ^_^) At that
point, I will put the scan, in a variety of resolutions, on our Web site,
http://bookweb.cwis.uci.edu:8042/, on our anime announcement page.
