If on the off-chance you are familier with Mage: The Ascension, I 
would describe those "angels" as being how most people (though not I) 
view the nature of Avatars. (Under my interpretation of the Avatar in 
Mage Belldandy is Keiichi's Avatar. Most Mage players disagree with 
me.)
