Depends. Blaim the practitioners. Jesus was all "Hey, let's just be nice to
one another for a change", and Christianity is generally a really nice
thing. On the other hand, trying to communicate spirituallity via the
completely non-spiritual medium of the overtly intellectual written word
doesn't really work. All the "abhorrent actions" you dislike Christianity
for were conducted by people who misinterpreted Christ's words, and took
literally odd passages meant as lessons. It isn't Christiany's fault thos
things happened, don't blame it, it's the occasional Christians who screwed
up and ruined a lot of lives, all due to misinterpretation. And we're
talking a few in history, not all, just a very tiny few who got it wrong.
Dig? Someone once said "Organised religion takes the religion out of
religion", and I think what I said about trying to communicate spirituality
through the printed word is kinda similar.

And if I've ever posted anything that's likely to get people after my blood
despite in all honesty being the guy DEFENDING Christianity here, well,
this is it.

Sam (fully expecting to get the boot for this breech of etiquette)
