That depends on your point of view. This isn't the first story of it's sort to
show up in the manga so I'm curious what it was that set you off about it.

He's terribly self-centered and selfish which can lead to evil acts quite easily.

He may not be on the same level as Hitler or Stalin, but he's still evil to a
degree.

On the contrary, I think the Troubadour offered some excellent opportunities for
drama. Let's face it, as far as demons go, Mara is a definite wuss who is often
more of a threat to herself than to anyone else.
