Actually, it's not just inside Anime and MAnga. It's a as significant, 
(or as insignificant) as horoscopes. In Korea and Japan (may be others, 
but these are the ones I know for sure) it's more well-known than horoscopes,
although at least in Korea, horoscopes are catching on very fast... 

Cultural differances, people...

I remember this topic being covered some time ago. Did anybody send us
