Yeah, I think the K1 was BMW's inline-4 sports/touring bike.
Displacement was something along 1100cc too I think... It's usually
classfied as either touring bike or open class sports bike and from what
I gather, it serves as both marvelously.
There is R1100RS (I think) by BMW. It has horizontally opposed
twin and went thrugh quite a bit of suspension and chasis upgrade in
'93. But it's stll every bit "Boxer". It's also an open class touring
sportsbike.
