I think I can help you there. There is a store (OCS Bookstore - they're in
the white pages) in the Rocks on the corner of Harrington Street and Argyle
Street if my memory serves me right. On the ground floor of a building
called the Clocktower or something.The store is run by some Japanese people
but the prices can be a bit on the high side. If they don't have it then
they might be of help to direct you to someplace else.

I found some really old issues of Newtype at this comic shop in Liverpool
St. the name of the shop escapes me but I don't believe there are that many
in the city. Comic Kingdom, I think.

The magazine you mentioned starting with an 'a' should be Anime V. They had
an issue with the girls on the cover a few months back.

Other magazines beginning with 'a' include Animedia and Animage. Ring any bells?
