In the beginning, when you look at the characters now and before (1989),
there is that major difference. But if you look at the way the characters
are drawn in the manga vs. the OAV, which is betterr? When I first saw
the first OAV,
I was amazed at the look of Belldandy. And when compared to the first
vol.1 of the manga, the OAV wins. It goes the same for the other
characters like Urd and Skuld. It's just that it takes awhile to
"upgrade" to something better looking. Urd with straight flowing hair vs.
the wave like one...it (the wave like hair) looks better on her than the
straight flowing one. As for Skuld, I can't say yet. I don't have vol.5
and up. But just guessing it must have remained the same. Clothing is for
a diiferent post. Since it's an OAV, it suppose to look alot better (this
does seem too occur only if a series came out as a TV series [with
average looking art] and made it's transition to an OAV [ with better
look art ] or it could be the reverse).

But since AMG came out as an OAV series, what would look like IF it came
out as a TV series (IF it ever happens)?
Would it look the same or be diiferent in its own way?

And with this comes a diiferent scenario with a movie. Look at the DBZ TV
series, and look at any recent DBZ movies? Since the animators have a
week to draw a 30-minute episode, the quality of the animation can
differ.
It can be great or it can be bad (the chance of it be great is rare
[throughout the whole 30-minutes of course]).
But it were a movie, then enough time is given (I think). That goes the
same for the Tenchi Muyo! series and others series too.

Well, with that, IF another OMG OAV series comes out, let's hope that the
animation will be the same as ther first.
