I was fortunate enough to find an anime club on campus where I get to see a wide variety of fansubs every Sunday afternoon. Yay for me! So anyway, this is what I saw. Those Who Hunt Elves 1-2 This one was pretty good. I'm definitely looking forward to future episodes. Slayers Next 2-3 I'm a big Slayers fan, so it was nice to see some new episodes. Well, new for me at least. ^_^ Magical Project S 1-2 Heh. This one was so cute that it made Sailor Moon look like Akira in comparison. Not that it was bad, just surprised the hell out of me. ^_^ The second episode got lots of laughs after the CD Love-Love Monster showed up. Gundam Wing 30-31 Hell yea. This got me ready for Gundam's upcoming appearance on Cartoon Network in March. On Toonami the episodes will be censored slightly, but every Saturday night at Midnight, CN will be showing two unedited episodes. Sounds grand. Too bad this tape was really bad quality. Third or fourth generation tape at least. Steam Detectives 1-2 I had never heard of this series, but it was pretty good. It reminded me of Sakura Wars with all it's steam references and neat mech designs. You're Under Arrest Finally, a real Fujishima reference. I'm not sure the numbers of the episodes we watched. It was the ones with the Superintendent from Hell and Strikeman. The Strikeman one was hilarious. Now I need to go find the manga series Darkhorse put out a few years ago. I also saw Sakura Wars a little while ago. It was pretty good, but it seemed too rushed. They tried to fit way too much into only two tapes. On the plus side, the music was pretty good and I thought the dubbing was pretty grand as well. Of course, I'll like any dubbing that's better than a bad B-movie.
