I think anyone can safly say, LD was much more poluar long before VCD (for most markests) for serious anime fans..... In Japan, VCD isn't popular at all.... (does not exsist too much)... LD is the main thing (for anime fans) and some are switching to DVD (to save space in their room...0 look at my room or someone else living in Japan, who's an anime fan, and you'll really know what we mean by "saving space in the room" Similar case in places like HKG, where room (housing) is very limited. (i thought Singapore had similar housing/space problems too?) Kenji Shimizu
