Pierre makes a few comments about this:

Why is it called 'Penultimate...'
As Pierre says, it's because it's still a work in progress. I'd be
very sad if I had to change the title to Ultimate, because it'd mean
that people had stopped writing Ranma Fanfiction.

As to not having 'The Professional' in the index. Well, although I'd
like to say I cover all the files in TASS, I can't as yet. The index
is only comprehensive for files that were in the RAAC archive on the
5th February 1999. I'm working on adding all the fics that were archived
between then and 5th May 2000, right now I'm up to 'Shampoo 1/2' and
I'm working alphabetically. Note that when I get to 'Z' I still have
many crossovers to do, due to the way I file fics, crossovers get filed
after straight Ranma fics. Some later fics have also been done, and
quite a few that are not in the RAAC/TASS archives at all, I will
happily do fics on request, I get practically no mail, and it's nice
to see someone actually take an interest in the index :-).
The upshot of all this is that the total size of the stories indexed
is about the same as the total size of the TASS archive, but there are
stories in TASS that are not indexed, as well as indexed stories that
are not in TASS. Takes time doing all these stories, I have to read
every one in order to do the synopsis/teaser, and also now to rate
and determine matchups in them.

I update the index every 2 weeks, assuming I'm not on holiday or 
otherwise away from the computer at the time.
